On October 14, 2023, the Pirate Band performed for the UIL Region Marching Contest in Hondo. The students performed extremely well, in what was possibly the best performance they have had all year long! In this performance they earned a 1st Division Rating from all three judges, which qualifies the band for their 6th consecutive trip to the UIL Area Marching Contest!
The Area contest will be held on October 28, 2023, in Beeville at Veterans Memorial Stadium, where the Pirate Band will perform in the prelims at 11am. Tickets are available online HERE, and we would LOVE to have a “Sea of Pirates” in the stands to cheer us on! Your love and support of our students has not gone unnoticed, the kids respond well to it and have told me how much they appreciate your accolades.
Please join us on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Walter Joyce Stadium at 10am with your students for our Area Band Pep Rally. The band will perform our UIL Competition show for everyone as we prepare for our trip to Beeville!
