Yesterday, the band competed at the Region XI UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in Pleasanton and had a great day.  The judges awarded the highest rating of 1st Division (denoting a Superior level of performance) in both Concert and Sight-Reading.  The 1st Division in Concert is the third one in the past four years, and the 1st Division in Sight-Reading is the 5th in a row, and the 7th in last 8 years!  Many early mornings and a lot of tedious, hard work went into preparing for yesterday’s competition, and the results are a tribute to the diligence and talent of the members of the LHS Band.

I would like to extend special thanks to Mrs. Robles and Mr. Reyes for their invaluable help – without their talent, help and support, yesterday’s success would not have been possible.
