LHS College and Career Readiness counselor Cassie Hoffman was honored last week at a luncheon sponsored by Goodwill Industries. We are so proud of her influence and impact on our students!!
"Last Thursday, we held our 70th Anniversary celebration/annual meeting and recognized Ms. Catherine Hoffman with Lytle High School. Ms. Hoffman partnered with us to initiate the implementation of our Good Careers Academy - Pharmacy Technician certification program within Lytle High School.
Through our shared vision and concern for youth and our workforce of tomorrow, Ms. Hoffman and Goodwill introduced the Pharmacy Technician program to train students in a skills certification program. This way, when students graduate, they will not only earn a high school diploma, they will also earn a certification and a marketable skill were they can begin earning a sustainable wage post-graduation.
Ms. Hoffman was recognized by Goodwill with the William “Bill” Sinkin Partnership Award for her partnership and dedication to bring certification training to high school students who might not otherwise have an opportunity to support themselves at such a young age."
