Varsity vs Pearsall
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball team beat Pearsall Friday night 61-52! In front of an energetic and loud crowd of Lytle supporters who made to the trip, the Pirates displayed great hustle and resilience. Despite leading the entire game, the Pirates could not seem to pull away from the Mavericks as the lead was only 22-21 at the half. Following halftime adjustments, role players such as Caleb Carrillo (10pts, 5 rebounds, 3 steals) and John Martinez (4pts, 4 rebounds, 3 steals) came off the bench to provide energy and relentless effort that proved to be the deciding factor late in the game. Jociah Cruzzi (12pts, 10 rebounds, 3 blocked shots) and Jeremy Thomison (10pts, 5 rebounds, 5 steals) each played a solid game. The Pirates plan to build off Friday night’s performance as we take on the Warhorses in Devine tomorrow evening. Go Pirates!
