Just want to keep everyone up to date on how our tennis season is going. On the JV level I am excited about the rest of the season and the next couple of years that are to come with these athletes. I have 10 JV players and 8 are in their first season of ever playing the game and have made great strides. The two that have had the most success this season are Frank Flores-Garza and Kyle Mueller. Frank has one trophy under his belt this season, winning the SAISD #2 consolation championship. Kyle has won several matches this season and making to the semis of the SAISD consolation bracket before falling to Flores-Garza. On the girls side of things, Jaida  Gomez is starting to round into shape as we get ready for district in a few weeks.

On the Varsity level, Michael Bradshaw continues to show improvement off his regional qualifying season last year advancing to the semi final round of the Edison Bear tournament. Mark Gomez is getting a bunch of experience in his first season of varsity play and our girls doubles team of Laura Landeros and Candace Short have played several close matches this season that will get them prepared for another district run. Aminah Alqahtani is starting to get in mid- season form as she looks to make great strides on the girls singles side of things!

This week we travel to San Antonio to compete in the Brackenridge Eagle Invitational. Go Pirates!
