Last night, the 8th grade FB team played host to the Cotulla Cowboys.
The Pirates took an early lead on a nice 50 yard punt return for a touchdown by Malakai Castro. The point after failed. From that point on, the game was a defensive battle. The Pirates had great defensive play by Robert Wagner, Albert Aguilar, Devon Caldera and Eli Vega.
The Cowboys proved to be too much for the Pirates and they handed us our first loss of the season.
Next game is at home next Thursday versus San Antonio Christian.
