Lytle Independent School District

The girls traveled to Cotulla last night, January 29th, and picked up a BIG win on the road 50-32. We are now 4-4 in district play. We played the best basketball last night when you look at a TEAM win, everyone contributed and got minutes. The girls know this week is crucial for us to get a playoff spot and they stepped up to the challenge. Leading the Pirates was Kiara Nixon with 16 points, and she did an excellent job running the point position. Autumn Frias had 12 points and stepped up and was a great leader on the floor. Eleni Keith had 11 points and she played her best basketball last night for us. Kylie Mask had the toughest job stopping their best player and of course she did her job and gave us 8 points and 7 steals. The bench came in at times and contributed in the ways they were asked to do. I am so proud of all these girls and we need everyone’s support so we can clinch a playoff spot and keep the Rivalry Basketball trophy here in Lytle. Go Pirates!!!
