Last night, February 19th, your Pirates traveled to Falls City HS to take on the George West Longhorns in a bi-district playoff game. The first half was a bit rough with 4 starters out most of the time due to foul trouble. Logan Wilson and Jacob Morales put the bench on their backs and held things together to go into halftime with a 30-28 lead. The second half, however, was a totally different story, the Pirates dominated from the start of the 3rd quarter with pressure defense which led 34 points in just one quarter. The 3rd quarter was dominated by Logan Wilson who scored 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. It was a career night for this kid who finished with 17 points. Jociah Cruzzi added 14 points and dominated the boards while Nathaniel Garcia's energy on both sides of the ball fueled the 3rd quarter run. The Pirates closed out the 4th with every player getting time on the floor and experiencing the playoff atmosphere. The Pirates won 93 to 73.
