On Thursday, September 26th, the 7th Grade football team took a trip south to Cotulla. In some ways, we saw vast improvement in areas that we needed and this enabled us to compete for an entire game. Unfortunately, we had lapses in areas that were crucial in order for us to secure a victory. Big plays and touchdowns were negated by a lack of mental discipline on both sides of the ball which led to a 30-12 defeat. As coaches, it is hard to get upset or hang our heads when we see these young men putting their best effort out there for us and for the school. We are so grateful for the teachers and Lytle staff that work tirelessly day in and day out to help shape these boys into young men that we can be extremely proud of. We are seeing big improvements in all areas with them and will continue to strive for excellence on the field and especially the classroom.
