Last night, October 7th, the 7th Grade Volleyball teams battled against the Jourdanton Squaws. Although the girls did not walk away with a win, they fought through some challenges with determination and style.
The B-team had timed games, but with the serving of Chasse McCulloch we were ahead. However, the Squaws quickly found a rhythm and ended the game 23-23. The second game was a hard-defensive game. The girls had to overcome some obstacles of service, but we eventually were able to get to their goal and make a comeback. Time just ran out and we ended at 24-18.
The A-team took to the court and faced the same challenges in service. Even though the score is not reflective of a win, our goal was to NOT have a repeat of our last encounter. The girls performed well and were able to score 10 and 11 points against a strong serving team. We are proud of their effort and determination.
We would like to thank parents and extended family for supporting them and us in these traveling games. It is always a wonderful feeling to have a friendly face in the stands.
