The girls picked up their first win on Saturday, November 16th, against Poteet with a score of 33-29. It is always nice when you get the first win of the season especially with the schedule we play. The girls did well the first quarter pressing and getting after it on defense. Towards the end of the game you could tell we are not in basketball shape. We had turnovers that resulted from being tired. Missing Eleni Keith in the starting lineup is a big difference so I am hoping in the next few weeks to get that fire she has from some of my bench players. Leading the team on offense was Kiara Nixon with 11 and Noelia Medina with 10 points. Kylie Mask showed her defense that we know her so well for and put up 6 points. Go Pirates!!!
