"I am positive that a doer makes mistakes."- John Wooden

Last night, November 20th, the 8th Grade Lady Pirate A team began their defense of their district title. Every game they enter they will have a target on their backs, and they must meet the opponent's intensity. The first half was sometimes difficult to watch due to our inability to hit easy shots or to pass up easy shots for harder shots. We led by two points after the first quarter, 9-7. Jourdanton hit two threes and made one foul shot. We led by 4 at the half with a 16-12 score. Jessica Mata kept us ahead by leading us with 7 points in the first half. We came out after half and played as we could and shut out the opponent and scored 18. With a 34 to 12 lead the clock began to be run due to the rule put in by those who thought we scored too much last year. We ended the game leading 39 to 18. It was a great effort and it was exciting to have Fatima Montes and Leandra Mora get some minutes in the fourth quarter. They will get to play their first B game the Monday after Thanksgiving break. Lytle was led in scoring by Calyssa Sevier, 14 points, Jessica Mata, 9 points, Campbele Aldridge, 8, Katara Whitfield, 4, Amelia Martinez and Eternity Diaz rounded out the scorebook by adding 2 points apiece.

"For today and its blessing, I owe the world an attitude of gratitude." - Clarence E Hodges

We would like to wish all the Lytle School district, our families, our friends and everyone who has put their touch onto our lives a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are very thankful we have the support from so many who will be exalted in due time.
