“When you’ve got something to prove, there’s nothing greater than a challenge.”
– Terry Bradshaw
Lytle 6 – Luling 14
Last Thursday evening, September 17th, the Junior Varsity boys traveled to face off against Luling. The offense came out with a bang early on, moving the ball up and down the field, eventually setting up a touchdown off another Jake Guevara interception. On offense Marcos Alvarado, Mario Diaz, Andrew Gonzales-Del Toro, and Amadeus Perez-Trejo and some nice runs on the Luling defense. Roldlfo (Rudy) Cepeda had a couple of nice catches to move the chains. On defense Morgan Castanon, Hector Anaya, Anthony Perdomo, Richard Hernandez, and Adriel Galindo created a stonewall and forced the Eagles to punt many times. The Lathe brothers and Connor Martin added excellent defensive back play to ground the Eagles air attack. The Luling Eagles put up a great fight, and scored 2 touchdowns, and ended up winning the game. There were many standouts on both sides of the ball. Our boys played hard throughout the game, and their effort never was never questioned. Congratulate these fine young men on a job well done, and know that we will continue to fight, to get our first victory! Our current record sits at 0-4!
