Results from the Area virtual auditions are in and for the first time since 2015, Lytle High School has a student who has earned a place in the prestigious All-State Band.

Emelia Garcia was 1st chair out of all the flutes (1A through 4A) at the Region level, and at the Area level, she was once again the top flute. Tentative plans are for the All-State Band to rehearse and perform in Melissa TX in June if the pandemic eases up enough by then.

A total of seven Pirate Band members competed in the Area auditions, and they all represented Lytle well:

Emma Polomsky - flute 7th chair
Sarah Ytuarte - alto sax 11th chair
Emiliano Peralta - bari sax 8th chair
Mason Davila - trumpet 8th chair
Michael Tomlinson - trombone 11th chair
Amanda Soto - trombone 13th chair

Special thanks to Mrs Robles for the work she did with these students, especially with Emelia and Emma.
Thanks to all who have encouraged these students as they worked so hard to prepare for these auditions against the best band students in Area South.
