Good Afternoon Pirate Nation,

The Boys’ Varsity Basketball season came to a heartbreaking end last night as the Pirates lost to the Somerset Bulldogs in the closing seconds of the bi-district playoff game, 64-68. The Pirates played well most of the night and led the majority of the game. Crucial made free throws by the Bulldogs ultimately decided the game. The improvement made this season is indescribable but thanks to Pirate Nation, we’ve had plenty along the way to witness and support the progress. The seniors (Isaiah Gomez, Isaiah Perez, Caleb Carrillo, Jeremy Thomison, Noah Vasquez, and Jorge Alfredo Holguin) stepped up to embraced the challenge to lead and have laid the foundation for the program to flourish in the future. I have no doubt that these seniors have made a lasting impact on the underclassmen to continue the success that was achieved this year. Leading scorers for the Bi-District Playoff game:Jeremy Thomison (15pts, 6 rebounds), Isaiah Perez (13pts, 12 assists), Jociah Cruzzi (12pts, 14 rebounds), Jorge Anthony Holguin (10pts).  Thank You once again to our central office staff, HS administration,  teachers, student body and of course our sixth man on the team, the LYTLE DRUMLINE for your support in the rebuild of the boys basketball program. GO PIRATES!!!

Thanks for all you do,

Head Boys Basketball
