Lytle Homecoming Parade 9-16-17

October 4, 2017:
Last night the Varsity girls lost to Carrizo Springs in 3 games.  24-26, 25-27, 23-25.

All three games were point for point and the girls fought for every one.   Unfortunately we weren't able to keep the lead when it mattered the most.
Next game is Friday against a very tough Devine team at 5pm in Devine.

I want to thank everyone who showed up and supported the girls last night, it was great to see a bigger crowd.  I also want to thank the fball staff for ending practice a bit early so those guys could come cheer the girls on.  To hear them echo the chants was pretty awesome, I and I know the girls appreciated it.

September 21, 2017:

Homecoming Night, the Varsity girls lost to Sunnybrook in 4 games.  18-25, 25-17, 16-25, and 12-25.
Although we did some things well we were not focused enough to get the win.

Saturday we represented Volleyball with two floats in the parade.  A big thanks to Ronnie and Stephanie Brown, Kye Mask, and David Naegelin for their use of equipment and driving skills and Julianne Aguinaga for the Varsity yard signs. The Varsity girls decorated their float with streamers, yard signs, balloons and even a volleyball net.

The JV, Freshmen, and JH decorated theirs with hay bales, streamers, and balloons. Both floats were awesome and the girls threw all of their candy. Mrs. Lytle’s sign got most of it lol (pics included).

On Tuesday, the girls were focused and ready to play against Lee Academy. The girls hard work paid off and they beat Lee in 3 games.  25-12, 25-19, 25-14. Jalyn Aguinaga did an excellent job serving while Sadie Bippert led the digs in the backrow.

The girls start district play tomorrow, here against Crystal City.
Varsity will play at 5 followed by the jv and freshmen
Wish them Luck!!!

September 13, 2017:
The Varsity girls faced Harlandale on Tuesday. The Indians came away with the win in 3 games - 6-25, 12-25, 11-25.

September 12, 2017:
Last Friday the girls travelled to San Antonio to face McCollum. Unfortunately McCollum took the win in 3 games. 7-25, 7-25, 14-25
Even though the outcome wasn't near what we wanted, games like this provide great opportunities for us to be ready for district.

September 4, 2017:
Congrats to the Lady Pirates!!! The Varsity girls BEAT Natalia in 4 games.

The first game finished with a score of 25-21. The second game was a bit nerve wrecking as they were trailing 14 to 20, but Jahzlyn Aguinaga was able to serve 9 consistent serves over which allowed the win 25-23. The third game the girls lost with a score of 23-25. Errors toward the end of the game forced a game 4. The fourth game was back and forth in scoring and ended 27-25. Jalyn Aguinaga went on an 8 point run with her serves and then finished
the game with another hard to receive serve.

September 1, 2017:
