This past Tuesday, February 5th, the Pirates traveled to Dilley to take on the Wolves. With the Wolves fighting for playoff positioning, we knew it would be a tough game. The Pirates started off hot with 29 points in the 1st quarter and led at halftime 51-35. In the second half Dilley played well and cut our lead to two points to make it interesting but the Pirates fought off the adversity and dominated the 4th quarter with our press defense. The Pirates won 88 to 72. Not only was it a tough win on the road but the win led us to the district championship in 30-3A. I’m so proud of these boys. We have two games remaining before the playoffs where we have unfinished business to attend to.
The Pirates are now 26-1 overall, 8-0 in district and district champs. Go Pirates!!!
