Last night, April 27th, the Lady Pirates traveled to Poteet, TX to take on the Lady Aggies in softball. The game was a back-and-forth battle in its entirety. The B squad hit the ball well, and are getting better defensively. This was a tough loss to the Lady Aggies 10-9.
The second game was a hitting explosion by the A team Lady Pirates. Alongside some great pitching, the Pirates hung 8 runs in two innings thanks to some fine hitting by, Giselle Esparza, Danica Martinez, Maribelle Garcia, Anissa Perez, Alyssa Sprenger. Two Pirates hit inside the park homeruns! Addison Carido, and Giselle Esparza! Defense allowed these ladies to get more at bats. Outstanding pitching by Addison Carido only allowed one run all game. Pirates win 14-1!
