Saturday was not the day the Robo Pirates hoped for. Improvements were made since our last meet and both teams’ bots were able to score more efficiently. However, it just wasn’t quite enough.
A few positive takeaways: Team Mutiny’s robot received major upgrades to its electrical system since the last competition and experienced zero failures this time. They hope to take advantage of this consistency going forward. Marauders’ bot struggled with a cranky lift mechanism but driver Emmanuel Tapia’s light touch with the controls helped them coax two match victories.
The Robo Pirates return to action on Saturday January 27 at McCollum High School for the conclusion of league play. We hope to see some of you there!
