The Varsity girls fought hard and WON this past Friday against Dilley.
25-18, 23-25, 25-13, 18-25, 15-11
The first set started off with a quick 10- 2 lead, thanks to Alexis Rodriguez’s powerful serves which gave us the push to finish with a win. The second set did not go as plan. It was back and forth the whole set and unfortunately we could not finish on top. The third set win came quick, thanks to a call that fired up the girls and Alejandra Rojas’ unanswered serves. However during the fourth, we struggled with serve receive for one rotation which cost us the set. The fifth was back to back as well but we finished with some strong serves and played defense well enough to get our 2nd district win.
The girls are now 2 and 1 in district and will face a tough Jourdanton team tomorrow night here in Lytle. Game time is 7pm (following the JV)
