This past Monday we traveled to Cotulla. The B-team played an excellent game. The "Spark-plug" player of the game is Mila Salinas and Destany Hernandez, they did an amazing job getting their serves over to help defeat the Lady Cowgirls. The Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Cowgirls in two (24-18, 25-13) bringing their overall district record to 5 wins, 1 tie, and 0 losses.
The 7th grade A-team had a little trouble breaking the serve but regained our composure and won in two games (25-21, 25-14) bringing their district record to 5 wins and 1 loss. The "Spark-plug" player of the game is Celeste Martinez, and Zoe Ybarra.
The girls are continuing to work hard and impressing me daily. I'm extremely proud of these young ladies.
Our next game is here at home. We need all the support, we play against Natalie (our only loss to them) Monday, Oct. 22nd. Our girls have the potential to end the season in first place and give us the number 1 seed slot in the district tournament. Please come out and make some noise for these girls.
