Lytle 8th graders participated in the Junior Achievement Program this fall. Over the past several weeks, students have been learning in class about financial literacy, management, and responsibility. This project-based learning curriculum culminated in our students successfully completing a budget simulation at the Capital One Junior Achievement Finance Park. Students worked with volunteers from Jefferson Bank, local colleges, and other financial institutions during the field trip. Lytle Junior High is proud to partner with Junior Achievement of South Texas as this program is dedicated to educating middle and high school students in the basics of financial literacy: budgeting, investing, managing risk - all while reinforcing the value of education and how it affects one’s future. Students become empowered with the skills and inspiration needed to create a better tomorrow for themselves and our community. I am very proud of all the students and all their hard work.
