12-10-2018 Country Christmas Dance

Saturday night the Special Ed Support Staff hosted the 4th Annual Christmas Dance. It was a huge hit with over 80 attendees from Lytle, Devine, Medina Valley, Natalia, and Somerset. The kids had a blast, and the parents were very appreciative of the opportunity for their children.

First, I want to thank my staff and the life skills students for the over-the-top décor. It looked amazing! I would also like to thank Devine Acres, who donated our beautiful Christmas tree. Blanca Cantu and her awesome culinary arts students made amazing chili, cookies, and reindeer food. Everything was delicious!

Thanks also go out to Larry at HEB for the helium balloons. The Elementary school Cafeteria staff generously allowed us to invade their space. Thank you!

Mrs. Migura and her husband were there and took wonderful pictures of the event. All the maintenance crew – thank you for hanging the balloon drop. Wow! It was worth it.

Last but not least, Jay Tope with SA Sports did an amazing job as the DJ, keeping the crowd entertained.

Overall it was a great night. So many parents told my staff and me that they look forward to this event every year and we’d like this tradition to continue in the years to come.

At the end of the night, Jay summed it up the best when he said, ……. “Love is the answer!”

And we agree.
