As they prepared for the Lytle Elementary Winter Market, 4th graders studied financial literacy, as well as various aspects of business. Three of our community businesses presented concepts to our students about supply and demand, profit and loss, variable and fixed expenses, and advertising. A huge thank you to Larry Contreras from HEB, Jacob Walker from Fitness 1440, and Lori Myrick from Lori Lou’s Creations for being our business experts and teaching the kids about real-life applications of what they have learned. On a trip to HEB, students visited most of the departments and got to hear about the ins and outs of this major corporation in our community.
