They attached a nomination form which I completed along with a short essay on why. From my classes, Maribel Vasquez was the only one who advised she was interested in the ESL/ Spec Ed field. I completed the paperwork and sent to Ms. Carter. We were contacted after Winter Break that she had been one of the students who they selected for their Scholarship in Education. They hosted a dinner on Tues Jan 23rd at OLLU to present all the students with their scholarship and, they had a catered dinner for the student and parent invited. She was given a $1,000.00 scholarship to be used at their campus.
