Last Friday, September 20th, the ladies hosted Dilley and won in three sets.
21-25, 25-23, 15-11.
Every single one of the ladies worked hard to get this win. They backed each other up, stayed motivated, and didn’t let the score get to them. The ladies are 1-0 starting out in District Play.
The first set we came close and the girls fought but couldn’t quite get there. In the second set to get the win Dylan Reyna served the ball and got an ace with the ball hitting right on the back line. In the third set the ladies took advantage of the open spots on the court and targeted those areas to get the win.
Top hitters of the game were Chelsea Gonzales, Isabella Ytuarte, Sydney Estrada with the assists were Jocelyn Sekula and Sydney Estrada. Defensively Alex Naegelin, Dylan Reyna, Moriah Gomez (Freshman that joined us), Marley Walker, Joslynn Ceja, and Daphne Perez.
Thank you to everyone who stayed until the very end and supported us. It was a fun game to coach even though the ladies like to make me nervous with close scores.
