10/8/2019 Lytle Cross Country at Devine

Your Lytle Pirates traveled to Devine October 2nd for their last Meet before District. Overall, we did great all the way through the program, exactly what we need heading into District in Dilley.

In a tough and long course, I felt we competed well in the hot weather. Something we are not accustomed to but need to get used to if we want to make our last push towards our ultimate goals.

We didn't have a full Varsity boys' team as we are still dealing with a few injuries and hope to have them all by Regionals.

I want to thank all the parents who attended and who have helped us all year long feed our kids at the Meets and be there when we needed help. I also want to thank our administration for supporting us in our journey this year, along with our training staff who keeps us healthy. All the transportation, maintenance, custodial, food and service, and anyone else who makes our practices and travels safe and enjoyable. And Coach Foster for helping me every morning getting these kids to do a workout and be as safe as possible with over 60 kids.

In order for any sport, club, or organization to be successful, it needs a lot of help and support because it is never just done by one. AND it takes a lot of great kids which I am very fortunate to have. We hope, like I mentioned before, to make one last push at our goals and hope to not only make our school proud, but our community as well.
