Saturday, October 26th, was the UIL Area E Marching Contest in Beeville. We were one of 31 bands in the Area that qualified for the contest. The band had a good run of their show with a few minor problems, but overall, I thought they did a great job. The judges seemed to agree, placing them 14th overall out of the highly competitive field. It was disappointing to come so close to being one of the 12 bands to advance to the finals that night but missing the finals by just two places is the closest we have ever come, and I must be pleased by that.
If you happen to see any of the band members, please give them your encouragement and congratulations. They represented our District very well this year.
