Lytle 8th Graders visited the Junior Achievement Finance Park today, October 28th. Over the past several weeks, students have been learning in class about financial literacy, management, and responsibility. This project-based learning curriculum culminated in our students successfully completing a budget simulation at the Capital One Junior Achievement Finance Park. Students worked with volunteers from Chase Bank during the field trip. Chase Bank sponsored our day and also provided pizza for our students. Lytle Junior High is proud to partner with Junior Achievement of South Texas as this program is dedicated to educating middle and high school students in the basics of financial literacy: budgeting, investing, managing risk - all while reinforcing the value of education and how it affects one’s future. Students become empowered with the skills and inspiration needed to create a better tomorrow for themselves and our community. I am very proud of all the students and all their hard work.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this a successful trip.
