Friday, October 25, 20219, Lytle Culinary students participated in the 2019 HS Cupcake Battle held at the University of Houston, Conrad Hilton School of Hospitality Management and hosted by the Hospitality Educators Association of Texas. 57 high school students from 20 area high schools submitted cupcakes to the competition. Yahari Perez placed 2nd overall with a Coffee Chocolate Cake with Espresso Ganache. Maribel Vasquez claimed a blue ribbon in the first division. Aracely Aguilar took a red ribbon in the second division.
Additionally, students took a tour of the River Center Marriott and the Sunset Station after the completion.
