The 7th Grade Lytle Lady Pirates started very slow yesterday evening, September 29, 2020. Breaking serves proved to be our nemesis. There were a few glimmers of movement and communication on the court, such as Kylie Cantu serving 6 points with several Aces. But in all, the 5-game experience and the serves from Jourdanton were just too consistent and too much to handle for this sweet team who was only on their second match of the season. We fell.

The 8th Grade Lady Pirates had some of the same problems, but their second game was more like they have been playing. Hot servers were Mia Navarro and Nayelli Pacheco who had many of the points racked up for the Lady Pirates. Mia had 2 aces while Nayelli clocked up 4.

The teams are improving daily and learning aspects of the game as we go. Sometimes the hardest lesson to learn is to get up after being down. We did that last night as both teams increased their points on the board the second game. We are proud of the girls and they are getting better about understanding the game every day.
