What. A. Game.
Hopefully, you were fortunate to have been at the game, if not hopefully you watched the LiveStream. If neither of these are true, you missed a great finish by your Pirates. The scoring started with Carson Aldridge connecting with Logan Wilson on a 26 yard Touchdown pass in the first quarter. The following extra point was missed to make the score 6-0 Pirates. To finish the half, we allowed the Ro-Hawks to score and we went to the break down 6-7. The score would remain the same until the 4th quarter, Randolph scored on a 45 yard score and the Pirates answered back with a score of our own. Malakai Castro scored from 1 yard out to make the score 12-14, making the two-point conversion extremely important. Carson rolled out and saw an opportunity and crossed the goal line to tie the game at 14. So, at the end of regulation we were tied at 14, we lost the toss and started out on offense. 6 plays later Mark Cantu scores from 5 yards out, and Daniel Aguirre kicked the extra point. So, the Pirates are up 7 with Randolph getting their turn. The Ro-Hawks would also score, and decide to go for two. Jonathon Cantu would make the play of the year up until this point of the season, tackling the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage. THE PIRATES WIN!!!! THE PIRATES WIN!!!
It was amazing seeing these guys celebrate after that play, they have come a long way in a short amount of time. I am really proud of these young men.
