The Junior High Lady Pirates volleyball team took on the Dilley Lady Pups last night, October 19th.
The 7th Grade began the evening with a much-needed win against the Lady Pups. The Lady Pirates played well, and we saw sparks of communication and movement, however, service games are solid! Outstanding services from 27 - Kylie Cantu and 44 - Isabella Sewell pulled and pushed the ladies to a great victory! It was great to watch the ladies work together as a team and have players step up and contribute to the win. 55 - Nadia Martinez and 22 - Alex Hernandez added some needed defense to help with the win.
Overall, we are happy with the win, but now know what the ladies can do and look forward to the last game of the season against Poteet Aggies.

The 8th Grade struggled with communication and movement on the court. The team was short on some key players and just couldn’t make up for the difference. Although these ladies are outstanding individuals, we encourage them to work on the skills we know they possess, and they too are hungry for a win against Poteet. They are feeling the hard loss last night. A couple of stand-out servers are 43 - Chassee McCollough and 36 - Kayzen Lassere.

Please come and encourage them all to a double win next week!
