Last Friday, November 13th, your Pirates opened the season with a victory over Navarro High School. Jordan Balderaz led all scorers with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Two weeks ago, the Pirates scrimmaged the Bandera Bulldogs and the team was at full strength. Three days later, the team got hit with the injury bug and lost 4 starters to injuries. Sophomore Jordan Balderaz has stepped in to be a young leader and will try to lead a now young Pirate team as we wait for everyone to heal.

Last night, November 18th, the Pirates took on the Stockdale Brahmas and lost. Inexperience and youth made it tough for the Pirates to get any rhythm going. Our fast pace style and defensive pressure kept us in the game all night but couldn't pull the win off. Junior Damian Garcia and Sophomore Jalen Guevarra each scored 10 points last night, and with no Varsity experience are starting to come into their own. These two will be fun to watch over the next two years as they grow with each game.
