Last night, December 8th, the Pirates took on the Pearsall Mavericks and won. The Pirates came out playing aggressively in the 1st half with 16 steals and allowing 3 made baskets in the second quarter. Offensively it took a while to get going, but a lineup changes to start the third quarter of Daniel Aguirre, Jacob Ulrich, Matt Sanchez, Mark Cantu, and the phenom Jordan Balderaz blew the game wide open scoring 27 points in the quarter alone. Jordan Balderaz led the Pirates with 18 points while Matt Sanchez added 14 points of his own. The Pirates still have much to improve as we face the traditional powerhouse, the Devine Warhorses on Friday night.
