1-19-2021 Kody Villarreal and Robey Harold represent Lytle in the San Antonio Sports All-Star game

One-hundred twelve (112) student athletes representing 62 high schools have been chosen for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, presented by H-E-B which will showcase top local high school players on Saturday, January 30 at Heroes Stadium. Lytle's own, Robie Harold and Kody Villarreal were selected to play in this 43rd anniversary of the game, in which the area’s top senior players will take the field at 2 p.m. The game date and location was changed after cancellation of the All-American Bowl, and to accommodate UIL 5A and 6A players participating in the revised playoff schedule.

General admission tickets to the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game presented by H-E-B will be available on a limited basis per state and local guidelines and will go on sale to the general public on January 4. The game will also be broadcast on The CW35 and ESPN 1250 radio.

Says Coach Michael Gomez, "I want to recognize the hard work and dedication that these two young men have shown. They spent the last four years in our program and are a wonderful example of what a good Pirate can be! We relied heavily on Kody and Robey this year and designed most of our offense to run behind them. They also anchored our defensive line as well on important short-yardage plays. We are all happy to see them get recognized for their efforts."

This 2020-21 school year, Kody Villareal was also named 1st team All District on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Robey Harold was named Offensive Lineman MVP for our District and is committed to Trinity University to continue his athletic and academic career.

If you see these guys, give them a huge congratulations.
