Friday night, February 5, will be a night for these girls and community to remember for a lifetime. The girls beat Karnes City in front of a packed gym defiantly playoff atmosphere. We came out strong and were up 16-5 at the end of the 1st quarter. Karnes City battled back and outscored us in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Then the 4th was back and forth but some clutch free throws by Noelia Medina and a steal by Kylie Mask at the end gave us breathing room and we put our faith in our defense and it came through for us again. We scored 27 of our points on Karnes City turnovers. We were 12-18 from the free throw line. We collected 17 steals. This was a great team victory, we only had 8 suited out so everyone contributed on this big win. That gave us win #13 in District and win 20 for the season.

We celebrated the Seniors Friday night; they have been great role models this year and are leaving a legacy for the future of the basketball program. These girls have worked so hard and I am delighted they are seeing that hard work and dedication pays off.
After the game, we had the girls cut down the net and just enjoy the moment of the success they have achieved. Memories like this will last a lifetime, it was an amazing night here in Lytle!
Thank you to everyone that came out. Thank you to our amazing parents!
