3-22-2021 Lessons from the Rings - Junior High Pleasanton Meet

"Winning and losing are both very temporary things. Having done one or the other, you move ahead. Gloating over a victory or sulking over a loss is a good way to stand still."

- Chuck Knox

Last Friday, March 19th, the Junior High throwers went to Pleasanton to compete with the track teams. I appreciate Coach Pierce getting the invite to Pleasanton instead of competing on Saturday, March 20th, at Antonian. I would love to have one more meet before District but the District Meet is Friday, March 26th, at Jourdanton.

It will be a good challenge to throw against the entire District this week at Jourdanton. We may not be the farthest but we are the only throwing team with throwers running the mile. Shea improved her time by at least 30 seconds running an 8:43 (PR) and Noah placed 4th in his mile race. He also placed second in the 2400M and then threw the discus 88 feet.
