Throughout this year, a group of Lytle band/video students, Damian Ramos, Donald Glasen, Elias Moore, Rafael Pacheco, Bella Lopez, Greg Martinez and Emiliano Peralta plotted in secret to celebrate (lament) their beloved Band Director's retirement. Mr. Mark Fender, who sometimes answered to their "Papa Fender" nickname, was delighted by the surprise-showing of this video at the Band Banquet on April 30, 2021. It is now YouTube-published for the rest of our Pirate Family to enjoy as the 2020-2021 school year comes to a close and we wish Mark Fender well in his next adventure.
In case you're wondering, Mrs. Migura made good on her promise to fixed Flat Fender's face before returning him to the Band Hall.
When you see Mr. Fender in the hallways, please thank him for his inspiring work here at Lytle ISD. (Make sure it's not Flat Fender before you get to the point of tears - you'll just feel silly.)
