Lytle Pirate Cross Country team traveled to Randolph High School on Saturday, September 24th, which happens to be National Daughter's Day. I think our Varsity Girls wanted it to be a special day for their parents as Eisabel Guerrero helped the girls win their first Meet of the year along with also claiming her first Individual Championship. Four of the five girls finished in the top 10 and they continue to push hard and have put themselves in great position coming into the last 2 meets before District.
They weren't the only ones to run well. We had two runners for the Varsity Boys with Freshman Johnny Rey Alvarez receiving his first Varsity medal as he edged out a runner at the end for a 5th place finish. Senior Israel Andrade also finished in the top 10 as he finished 8th.
The Junior Varsity boys also captured the team championship plaque as 5 of the 7 runners finished in the top 10.
Below is the link to the complete results and pictures of both winning teams.
