This past Friday, October 8, 2021, the Pirate Football team took on Randolph in game three of District play. Offensively, we continue to see great progress in the run game. Offensive standouts include Junior Running Back Deven Caldera, who rushed for 120 yards on 38 carries and a touchdown. Junior Running Back Albert Aguilar also contributed 31 yards rushing on 7 carries. Paving the way was an offensive line that consisted of Elijiah Ramirez, Ivan Reyna, Elias Hernandez, Jacob Guevara, Kasen Boyd, Damien Myers and Jason Vega.
Defensive standouts include Sophomore Cornerback Rudy Cepeda, who led our team with 6 solo tackles. Junior Stong Safety Albert Aguilar had 4 solos and 3 assists, while Senior Linebacker Emanuel Garcia had 3 solos and 1 assist, also had stellar performances on defense.
