On October 19, 2021, Lytle students had the opportunity to visit two local colleges, St. Phillips College downtown and San Antonio College of Criminal Justice.
During the St. Phillips College tour, students visited several departments including the culinary program and the mechanic shop. Each department tour was led by the program director of that field of study.
The St. Phillips culinary program is housed in an amazing, new, ultramodern building outfitted with the latest equipment. The second-year chef class prepared French cuisine for the visiting students.
During the San Antonio College tour, a professor invited the visiting students to join her lecture. During the lecture, a debate started on the topic of the death penalty in Texas and the Lytle students jumped into the debate alongside attending college students. What an outstanding experience.
