We traveled with only eight players last night, December 7, 2021, to West Campus and everyone got into the game and scored. We scored 58 points just on turnovers and we had 39 steals.
Leading the team was Cadee Martinez with a season high 24 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 deflection, and 8 steals. Next was Fizz Hutton with a double-double with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 deflections, season high of 14 steals, and 1 charge. Calyssa Sevier also had a double-double with 19 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 deflections, and 9 steals. Kataria Whitfield had a season high 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal. Amelia Martinez started last night and had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 deflection, and 2 steals. Arianna Garcia had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Rose Scotello had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal. Kaylee Diaz had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.
We need to do a better job shooting free throws so we will work on that going forward. We are hoping to get Nicole Godines back after she suffered an ankle sprain at the Navarro Tourney and Sofia Hutton who recently had 102 fever.
The girls are 11-6 overall and 1-0 in District and now Ranked #23 for TABC. Go Pirates!
