After 9 long innings of baseball, Malakai Castro singled in Mason Davila to give the Pirates an emotional home victory over the Poteet Aggies.
Poteet took an early 7 - 0 lead. Little by little, the Pirates chipped away at the lead throughout the game. This game had many heroes throughout the night. That is the beauty of sports. You never know which play will make a difference in the game.
Your Pirates persevered through setback after setback. Caleb Wood gave 4 good innings of relief to pick up the win on the mound. Jair Flores did a fabulous job behind the plate. And, Mason Davila played great in right field.
