3-24-2022 27 3A All District Honors 2022

Calyssa Sevier was unanimously voted District 27 3A Most Valuable Player. Congratulations to Sophomore Calyssa Sevier on this accomplishment! She has scored over 1,300 points in two years. If you have not seen her play, you are missing out. Go Pirates!

Fizz, Martinez and Whitfield make 27 3A First Team All District.

Well done ladies. Junior Fizz Hutton carried our defensive side of the game. She averaged 6 steals a game and was playing with a stress fracture all playoffs. Junior Cadee Martinez came out this year leading us offensively, averaging 15 points throughout the year. She had her best season this year. Sophomore Katara Whitfield worked hard and stood as our leader in the paint and leading in blocks all season!

Godines and Martinez make 27 3A All District Second Team

Senior Nicole Godines really stepped up this year, earning a starting spot and helping us make history before she graduates to begin her new journey. She will truly be missed! She played all four years and saw what hard work can do if you are just patient.

Sophomore Amelia Martinez, I always call her the quiet player, she does all the right things and works so hard. She earned a starting spot and finished the season strong!

27 3A Honorable Mention

It was Junior Rose Scotello’s first year to ever play basketball and you could see the huge improvements she made throughout the season.

Junior Kaylee Diaz stepped up when the team needed her and worked hard.

Senior Sofia Hutton, I am so glad she moved to Lytle and I have been coaching her for the last two years. She works so hard and stepped up big in our playoff run. She will truly be missed as she graduates and starts the next chapter of her life.

Freshmen Ariana Garcia got some great minutes and wonderful experiences this year and I am excited to see her grow this off season and through the summer workouts.

Freshmen Lunna Reyes was added to the Varsity team late in the season and took the ride in the playoffs with us. This girl will come out next year. I can see it already. Go Pirates!
