The new NHS members have so much to look forward to in the coming school year. Especially if we take a moment to look back and celebrate all the good that was accomplished in the 2021-2022 school year. National Honor Society students have engaged in school and community volunteer events, accumulating over 2,000 hours as a group. The diverse opportunities offered ranged from larger events such as the local church fundraisers and city holiday decorating, to food pantry support and school programs. Ms. Hannalore Mueller says, "Even though we worked with a smaller group of students in NHS this year, the students have dedicated an unbelievable amount of their already full schedules to supporting our local/surrounding communities as well as our district as a whole." Check out the list of events that benefitted from NHS student involvement:
At the Primary Book Fair, students assist in helping the little ones create wish lists, sales, and explanatory support.
At Kona Ice Days, students help the younger students pay for and fill their cups.
