Yesterday evening, August 24, 2022, I was privileged to be able to photograph a very cool tradition that Coach Trevino started here at Lytle. It's called Decals with Dads and Moms and it really was a beautiful event that brought our football boys' families together in a unique way. Aside from the practical task of getting their helmets all decked out for the first big game, there was enthusiasm and pride around the Peanut Butter Bowl decal and the success of this fun food drive. There were also solemn moments when the Prayers for Uvalde decals reminded all that we must be a source of strength, support and comfort for others in times of need. With our band's drumline providing spirited background beats, our coaches, players and families came together for preparation, fellowship and celebration of the season's official kickoff.
