Saturday, October 01, 2022, the Lytle Pirates took part in the Poth Pirates Cross Country Meet.
Junior Varsity Girls finished 1st out of 6 teams with 5 girls, Nivea Sanchez, Kimora Sanchez, Jadyn Bojorquez, Isabella Sewell, and Annabella Lopez, finishing in the top 10.
Junior Varsity Boys finishes 1st out of 5 teams with 4 boys, Bryan Montes (Individual Champion), Diego Reyna, Donovan Cortez, and Antonio Castro, finishing in the top 10.
Varsity Girls finished 3rd out of 16 teams with 2 girls, Moriah Gomez and Marissa Lopez, finishing in the top 10. Six points separated the top 3 teams. We were missing our #3 runner Samantha Mujica but hope to get her back for District.
Varsity Boys finish 1st out of 15 teams with 2 boys, Robert Wagner and Johnny Rey Alvarez, finishing in the top 10. The Varsity Boys finish without a loss this season and have done it without ever having all 7 run together. We hope that at District we can finally have all 7 competing.
This has been the best regular season we have ever had here in Cross Country. We understand none of that matters if we can't finish the job. Finishing that job begins next Wednesday in Crystal City at the District 28-3A Meet.
