10-6-2022 Junior High Cross Country at Poth Invitational

The Lytle Junior High Girl's and Boys' 7th Grade teams placed first at the Poth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, October 1, 2022. 

The 7th Grade girls tallied up 30 points to bring home the gold. Elyse Cortinas led the pack with a 3rd place finish, followed by Kaycee Galindo in 5th, Emma Emery in 23rd, Maekala Mata in 26th, Sophia Herrera in 27th, and Zaira Farfan in 36th place.  

The 7th Grade boys' team accumulated 49 points to secure the team title. Julian Lopez captured 4th place, followed by Luke Robles in 7th, Elijah Robles in 9th, Adrian Reyna in 10th, and Piercen Moreno in 20th place, to contribute to the team score.  

In the 8th Grade girls' division, Vanessa Ayala led the way with a 2nd place finish, followed by Laleina Reveira in 3rd, Addison Wagner in 5th, Avery Sanchez in 9th, and Eliana Torres in 9th place. The 8th Grade girls finished 2nd as a team behind Cole.  

In the 8th Grade boys' division, Nathan Garza led the way with a 3rd place finish, followed by Jaden Castro in 8th, and Weston Jackson in 10th place.
