Yesterday, October 6, 222, was a very tough but Awesome day! Due to illness, we were without 8 starters on the 8th Grade football team, but this did not mess with the hearts of those boys. Those that had a chance to step up and fill in starting roles did exactly that. Seth Pierce and Nathan Garza really stood out along with Weston Jackson and a second half performance by Kash Friesenhahn helped lead a defensive attack that truly carried the team yesterday. Coach Martinez and his crew threw a second half shutout, and the boys came away with a victory to start off District play. Please come out and support these fine athletes.
